The art of incense

An immersive week in Pelion — with two Hellenic women sharing their homeland with you

18–22 June 2027 · Pelion, Thessaly · Maximum 8 women

This is not a New Age crash course.

You will not leave after five days with twenty incense blends and a head full of instructions.

We will not give you ready-made answers about what a plant “means”, what you are “supposed” to see when working with smoke, or which experience is supposedly the right one.

You will experience it for yourself.

Because for us, incense does not begin with a list of effects.

It begins with perception.

With your nose.
With your eyes.
With your body.
With your attention and your whole being.
With your ability to perceive without immediately having to explain or categorize everything.

And that is where this week begins.

It is no coincidence that your path has led you here.
The Pelion does not call everyone.

> Five days. Two Mentors. One very special experience.

Each day, we will work together intensively for approximately 4–5 hours, including breaks.

You will encounter plants individually, work with them, grind and crush them, burn them, and observe.

You will learn not only to see smoke, but to perceive and read it.

How does it change?
How does your own body respond?
What happens within you before your mind finds an explanation?
And what changes when you direct your attention not only towards the smoke, but towards the entire environment around you?

Iris will accompany you through meditation and perception practices.

I will guide you deeply into the practical and immediate experience of working with incense.

Together, we create a space in which you can expand your perception and begin to trust your own experience more deeply again.

It is about more than only incense

Perhaps during these five days you will learn something about plants that you did not know before.

Perhaps at some point you will look at smoke in a completely different way.

Perhaps you will discover that your perception is far more subtle than you had previously assumed.

And perhaps you will take something home with you that, in the end, has very little to do with incense at all.

I believe that an experience like this can move something within a person.

Not because we promise that something specific will happen.

But because genuine experience can change something when we are truly willing to enter into it.

You do not need any special abilities for this.

But you do need openness, curiosity, and a willingness to engage with your own perception.

Of course, you will also have time in Pelion.

Time to swim.
Time for coffee.
Time to walk through the village.
Time for yourself.

But this journey is not a wellness weekend, nor a tourist excursion with a little incense added in between.

The real journey takes place within you.

We work with plants, smoke, nature, perception, and meditation.

We share knowledge that has grown through many years of experience.

And we open spaces in which you are not simply told what something means, but are invited to experience it for yourself.

We call this an initiation into experience — not as a ceremony in which someone grants you a special status, but as an actual entering into a deeper way of perceiving.

You do not have to believe anything.
You are invited to experience.

Pelion is not simply a beautiful place for us to hold a course.

Hellas is our homeland.

For Nicoletta, Thessaly is deeply connected to her own history, her family heritage, and her relationship with the plants and landscapes of this region.

Iris is Hellenic as well.

Together, we will guide you through this week.

Not as visitors to someone else’s culture.
Not as tourists.

We return to our Hellas with you.

To a landscape that is not a backdrop for us, but part of our own story.

Pelion is a place where nature, mountains, sea, plants, villages, and ancient stories are woven together in a very particular way.

And you will not simply look at this landscape.

You will work within it.

Some things are not taught. They are remembered.

Personal Guidance

Throughout the entire course week, you will be accompanied by two mentors.

The group is intentionally kept small: 6–8 women.

This leaves room for individual questions, personal experiences, and intensive work together.

You do not travel to become someone new. You travel to become who you have always been.

YOUR OWN SPACE

We want every participant to have a space of her own to retreat to.

That is why, if possible and according to your preference, we will arrange a private room for each woman.

If you are travelling together with someone, you will of course share a double room.

Summer Solstice — 21st of June

21st of June marks the Summer Solstice

The longest day of the year, and the moment when the sun reaches its highest point before the days slowly begin to turn again.

We will not simply let this special day pass us by. For our foremothers already knew of its significance.

Together, we will go into nature and connect the Summer Solstice with a small incense ritual.

With plants.
With smoke.
With the landscape.
And with whatever each of us perceives on this day.

It will not be a staged spectacle or a tourist event.

It will be a shared moment in nature — simple, conscious, and connected to what we have experienced together throughout this week.

Where? — We are not revealing that just yet.

The place will be a surprise.

And perhaps that is exactly what makes it beautiful:

You do not have to know beforehand what awaits you.
You only need to be willing to step outside with us.

Travel & mobility

You will generally organise your journey to Pelion yourself. After registration, we will provide you with all further information about your stay and your arrival.

For the journey between Thessaloniki Airport and Pelion, there will be the option of using a shared private shuttle.
The shuttle is not included in the €1,888 course fee and can be booked separately.

As this is a group transfer, the price per person will depend on how many participants choose to use the service.

If you would like to use the shuttle, please let us know when you register. Once the number of participants is known, we will provide you with the binding price and all further transfer details.

Alternatively, you can rent a car directly at Thessaloniki Airport and organise your journey and local mobility independently.

If several participants would like to rent a car and travel together, we can put you in touch with one another after registration.

Please note: Daily transportation of participants is not part of the course.
Nicoletta and Iris will be there as your mentors — for the course content and your personal guidance, not as a driving service.
Individual journeys, rental cars, fuel, street tolls, or other personal transportation costs are therefore not included in the course fee.

How arrival and mobility within the group can best be organised will be coordinated together after registration.

Total course fee: €1,888 per person

Registration deadline: 31st of March 2027

A deposit of €800 is due by 31st of March 2027.

If you withdraw from the course on or before 31 March 2027, your deposit will be refunded in full.

From 1 April 2027 onwards, no refund will be possible.

At that point, accommodation, transfers, materials, and other services will be arranged and booked on a binding basis.

That is why 31 March is not simply an artificial registration deadline.

It is the point at which the concrete organisation of this special week begins.

And now the real question:
